What it is
A donor management app for charities is a web-based database that keeps a record of every supporter and each donation they make, from one-off gifts to regular monthly giving. It centralises supporter details, appeal sources, and giving totals so you can see who gives, how often, and to which cause.
What your charities donor management tracks
Every field below is one you can add, rename, or remove by chatting with Kleap — a starting point tuned for charities.
Supporter Type (regular giver, one-off, event)
Distinguishes committed monthly supporters from occasional givers so each gets appropriate stewardship.
Regular Gift Amount & Frequency
Records the value and cadence of a standing gift so you can forecast dependable income.
Gift Aid Eligibility (UK)
Flags whether a Gift Aid declaration is on file, so eligible donations are ready to claim on.

Event Attendance
Links supporters to sponsored walks, galas, and challenges to measure event-driven giving.

Frequently asked questions
Can it track regular monthly givers and one-off donations differently?+
Yes. Each supporter record carries a supporter type and, for regulars, a gift amount and frequency. That lets you separate dependable recurring income from one-off appeal gifts in your reporting, and see which supporters are candidates to move from one-off to regular giving.
Is there a mobile app, and does it collect card payments or claim Gift Aid?+
There is no separate app to install; it's a responsive website that works in a phone browser. It also does not take card payments or file Gift Aid claims with HMRC. What it does is record each donation you log, flag Gift Aid eligibility, keep supporter histories, and report the totals you use when you claim or reconcile elsewhere.
How does it help with peer-to-peer and event fundraising?+
You can link supporters to an event or to the fundraiser they sponsored, and tag each gift to the appeal. The totals dashboard then shows how much a challenge event or sponsored walk actually raised, and who took part, so you can steward those supporters afterward.
Can we keep supporter consent and communication preferences on record?+
Yes. Each supporter record stores communication consent, so you have a clear, per-supporter view of who has opted in. Note the app records and displays these preferences; it does not itself send the emails or texts, so your outreach still happens through your own channels.
