What it is
An operations dashboard tracks how smoothly work flows through the business — on-time delivery, cycle time, inventory levels, defect rate, and capacity utilization. It surfaces bottlenecks and quality problems so teams can fix them before customers feel them.
What your operations dashboard tracks
Every field below is one you can add, rename, or remove by chatting with Kleap — a starting point tuned for operations.
On-time delivery rate
gaugeOrders or jobs delivered by their promised date ÷ total. The clearest measure of operational reliability.
Cycle time
barAverage time to complete one order or process end to end. Shorter cycles mean faster, cheaper throughput.
Inventory turnover
kpi tileHow many times stock is sold and replaced in a period. Too low ties up cash; too high risks stockouts.
Stock levels by item
barCurrent on-hand quantity per SKU or material. Prevents both dead stock and running out.
Defect / error rate
lineFaulty units or errors ÷ total produced. The core quality signal — every defect costs rework or a return.
Capacity utilization
gaugeOutput used ÷ total available capacity. Reveals whether you're overloaded or leaving resources idle.
Throughput
lineUnits or orders completed per period. The raw volume the operation is pushing out.
Cost per unit
kpi tileTotal operating cost ÷ units produced. Ties efficiency directly to the bottom line.
Open backlog
kpi tileWork orders or tickets still unresolved. A growing backlog warns capacity can't keep up with demand.
SLA compliance
gaugeShare of work meeting agreed service levels. The promise you're measured against by customers.

Buy a tool, or own one built for you
Off-the-shelf software makes you fit its mold. With Kleap you describe the dashboard you actually want and own it outright.
A typical dashboard
- Monthly per-seat fees that grow with your team
- Your data lives on their servers, in their format
- Fixed features — you adapt to the tool, not the reverse
- Generic, not shaped around operations
Built with Kleap
- Free to start — no per-seat pricing
- You own the app and its database, data stays yours
- Change anything by chatting — fields, views, workflow
- Shaped around how operations actually works

Frequently asked questions
What metrics belong on an operations dashboard?+
Focus on on-time delivery, cycle time, inventory turnover, defect rate, and capacity utilization. Add backlog and SLA compliance so you can see both the current load and whether you're keeping promises. The right mix depends on your process — a warehouse leans on inventory, a service team on SLAs.
How is inventory turnover calculated?+
Divide the cost of goods sold over a period by your average inventory value for that period. A turnover of 8 means you sold and replaced your stock eight times that year. Low turnover ties up cash in unsold goods, while very high turnover can mean you're risking stockouts.
What's the difference between cycle time and throughput?+
Cycle time is how long one item takes to move through the process; throughput is how many items you complete per period. They're related but not the same — you can improve throughput by adding capacity even if each item's cycle time stays flat. Watch both to tell a speed problem from a volume problem.
Does the dashboard track our systems in real time?+
It visualizes the operational data you record in your Kleap app — deliveries, defects, and stock counts entered through forms or imported from your systems. It doesn't stream live from an ERP or warehouse system; you keep the operational records current in Kleap (by entry or scheduled import) and the on-time, defect, and utilization charts update from them.
