An illustration, not a screenshot. The app opens the live Kleap in a native window on macOS and on Windows.

Why a window
A tab is easy to lose.An app is not.
- 01
Its own window
A dock or taskbar icon, an app-switcher entry, and a window that is not competing with forty other tabs.
- 02
Always the current Kleap
The app loads the live product, so every improvement we ship reaches you immediately. No update to install.
- 03
Same account, same work
Sign in once and it sticks. Your apps, credits and published sites are the ones you already have.
Before the first launch
macOS just opens it. Windows asks once.
The Mac build is signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarized by Apple, so it opens like any other app. The Windows installer is not signed yet, so SmartScreen stops you once — here is how to get past it.
macOS
- 01
Open the .dmg and drag Kleap into Applications.
- 02
Launch Kleap from Applications.
- 03
That is the whole install — the Mac build is signed and notarized, so macOS raises nothing.
Windows
- 01
Run the installer.
- 02
The first time only: Windows SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC".
- 03
Click More info, then Run anyway.
No surprises
What the desktop app is
It is Kleap in a native window, not a separate product. Building sites needs our servers and our models, so the app needs a connection — the upside is that it is never out of date, and there is no update to chase.
- Your session stays signed in between launches.
- Links to other websites open in your normal browser.
- Everything you build stays in your Kleap account, reachable from any browser too.
